Safeguarding Young People is our top priority
Keeping Young People safe within Scouting is a top priority and at Hythe Sea Scouts we ensure we follow all the rules and guidelines set by Scouting UK.
All our volunteers undertake regular training on safeguarding, each section has their ratios of Adults to Young people & no young person is left alone with an Adult.
If there is a concern to safeguarding at Hythe Sea Scouts, please report this directly to the section Leader as soon as possible. This can be face to face or by email (emails can be found on our website or from section leader correspondence).
Should a matter need to be raised above a Section Leader the Group leadership team can be notified.
Graham is our deputy & Ollie is our GSL, both can be contacted using GSL@HytheSeaScouts.org.uk
All Safeguarding matters should be dealt with by the Group directly in the first instance. Should a serious matter need escalating we would then contact our DC (District Commissioner) and if needed Gilwell Park which is Scout UK HQ.
