Family/Founders Day - 88 Years of Hythe Sea Scouts

Details: Free day for members to get on the water and share their skills with their family. There will be chance to kayak, paddle board, sail. Full details of water activities will be shared on the day as plans are weather dependant.
Our sponsor for the day are our friends TASTE Dining Company who will be selling BBQ food, chips, New forest Ice Cream and a selection of drinks. Proceeds will be going to our Group to support the day.
Important note: Squirrels, Beavers & Cubs who would like to go on the water will need to register their attendance to the beach master & collect a coloured wrist band before going on the water, this will aid our leaders and instructors on the water to clearly identify who is able to swim unaided or not.
Those who can not swim 50m will be give a red wrist band, those who can will be given green. The reason for this is water safety, when on the water the adults can clearly see who may need extra support in the water.
Parents are required to stay for the duration of the event.
There will be games & activities on the main deck for the younger years including a bouncy castle. Parents are asked to supervise their young people during non-water activities as the leaders will have their focus on the water.
